Common Problems & Solutions
- Why is the mold oval instead of round?The machine’s working principle is complex. The rotation speed of the mold is different from that of the corresponding roller, which is why the mold is designed as an ellipse.
- Why are the wrappers coming out oval? Is the mold broken?
- If the wrapper is longer front-to-back and shorter side-to-side, the dough is too hard. You need to soften it slightly.
- If the wrapper is shorter front-to-back and longer side-to-side, the dough is too soft. You need to knead it a bit firmer.
- Why are the wrappers crescent-shaped with a missing piece?This is caused by insufficient dough feed, which means the mold is not being completely filled. There are two handwheels on top of the machine to adjust the feed rate:
- Turn counterclockwise to increase the feed rate.
- Turn clockwise to decrease the feed rate.Always adjust both wheels equally to keep them balanced, aiming for a moderate setting—not just the maximum or minimum.
- Why do the wrappers have cracks or holes?Cracks and holes occur when the dough feed rate is too high. Excess dough builds up between the mold and the roller, creating air bubbles and tears as the mold rotates.To fix this, turn the top two feed-adjustment handwheels clockwise to reduce the dough feed rate.
- Why do the wrappers have rough edges?Rough edges usually happen when the dough is too hard. The solution is to make the dough slightly softer.
